Position Overview: As the Global Cyber Partnerships and Government Engagement lead, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the government and cybersecurity community to include peer institutions and associations.
You will play a critical role in promoting our cybersecurity strategy, working closely with internal teams, and external partners to ensure we stay ahead of the latest threats and regulations.
You will be primarily responsible for partnerships and engagement in North America but will also lead a small team of partnership and engagement regional leads.
You will work with Threat Hunt and Cyber leadership to build and execute engagement and partnership strategies.
You will share key sector threat intelligence with threat intelligence functions and be responsible for engaging vendor risk functions with associated threat intelligence and identified risks for the sector.
Key Responsibilities: > Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for engaging and be the firm's liaison with government agencies, cybersecurity experts, and other stakeholders to enhance our cybersecurity posture across the sector in the United States and globally.
> Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and working groups to build relationships and promote our cybersecurity strategy.
Travel may be required with approximately a few days per quarter.
> Collaborate with internal senior executives and their teams to ensure the Firm's cybersecurity strategy aligns with the Firm's overall business objectives.
> Act as a liaison between the Firm and government agencies on cybersecurity matters, including regulatory compliance and information sharing.
> Monitor and report on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends and provide recommendations to internal teams on how to mitigate risks, with a focus on both Firm systems and growing vendor associated risks.
> Serve as liaison to vendor risk efforts in the Firm for threat intelligence sharing.
> Plan and facilitate regular multilateral meetings between firm, sector and government representatives, to include determining agenda, creating presentations, and following up on action items.
QUALIFICATIONS Skills and Experience Needed to Excel in this Role: > Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels of the organization > Ability to facilitate collaboration, drive consensus, and deliver value amongst peers and to the Firm > Relationship, stakeholder, or membership management experience > Experience planning and facilitating effective meetings > Experience creating executive-level presentations > Excellent written and oral communication skills > Integrity, diplomacy, tact, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality > Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment > Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team > Self-starter, ability to anticipate needs and take the initiative > Fast learner who is flexible and adaptable > Knowledge and/or experience working with FS-ISAC, Treasury, CISA, US Law Enforcement/Intelligence Community, peer institutions or other partnership organizations.
Qualifications: > Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or a related field.
> At least 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on government/stakeholder engagement and partnerships in related roles.
> Experience working in the financial services sector is strongly preferred.
> Knowledge and/or experience of US cybersecurity regulations and requirements.
> Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $180,000 and $260,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
