If you think this is an exciting opportunity and want to be part of our dynamic team, please apply - we want you on board! *Job Description* The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager on daily operations to maintain a positive and safe working environment.
In addition, they are to ensure that all Laundry team members receive the appropriate training, guidance, and leadership to effectively complete their work.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
*RESPONSIBILITIES* ● Assists in supervising department leads and team members.
● Assists in creating and upholding job descriptions, checklists, assignments, and evaluations of employees.
● Provides support to team members to complete assignment duties, by delegating, directing, and cooperating.
● Conducts training of laundry employees on a regular basis.
● Conducts regular walkthrough looking for cleanliness, repairs, coating, and potential safety hazards.
● Assists in maintaining an inventory of chemicals, supplies, terry, and linen needed for Laundry.
● Works closely with other departments – Locker Rooms, Engineering, SPA, Volcanic Sand Bath, and others) ● Cover housekeeping supervisor during their absence such as days off.
● Report and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues.
● Perform maintenance and minor repairs of the laundry machines and housekeeping vacuums.
● Perform general maintenance of equipment such as radios, doors and ESPA cubbies.
● Communicate with Housekeeping to ensure proper stock levels of towels and robes.
● Keeps track of discard.
● Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
● Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job description.
*QUALIFICATIONS* ● Minimum of three (3) years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort ● Minimum of one (1) year of management experience ● Intermediate computer skills, strong familiarity with MS Office ● Excellent communication skills in English, bilingual a plus ● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities ● Must have reliable transportation to and from work ● Ability to prioritize, organize, and make appropriate judgements ● Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends ● High school diploma or GED *PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS* ● Ability to lift to 50+ pounds occasionally, 30 pounds repetitively ● Constantly walking and standing; must be able to stand and walk up through shift ● Excellent visual, auditory, and manual dexterity ● Must be familiar with all Laundry equipment, supplies, and chemicals Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Referral program * Tuition reimbursement * Vision insurance Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
