Come join our winning team! We are currently looking to hire an experienced Human Resources Director to work out of our Corporate office in Long Island City, New York.
SUMMARY The Human Resources Director manages the administration of the human resources department.
Develops policies, procedures and directs and coordinates all human resources activities such as; employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Performance management and improvement systems Internal/External recruiting, staffing logistics and new employee orientation Policy development and documentation Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting Employee relations Company employee communication Employee safety, wellness and health (employee services and counseling) Succession identification, planning, and implementation Organization development and training Oversee the negotiations with Benefits providers (Healthcare, Retirement Plan Administrator, etc.
) Present HR related matters to the Board of Directors Ability to bring immediate credibility to the HR function through solid background, experience, communication style and professional qualifications.
Proven integrity and confidentiality track record.
Primary Objectives: Development of a superior workforce.
Development of the Human Resources strategy and department.
Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant’s qualifications.
Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, colleges and universities, and other recruitment sources.
Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems.
Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing, or other department in the organization.
Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
Develop HR plans and strategies to support achievement of the overall business objectives.
Function as a strategic business advisor to the BOD and Senior Management regarding key organizational and management.
Establish, communicate and implement a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the Bank.
Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government official regarding human resources policies and practices.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Keep abreast of developments in the Human Resources field through reading, attendance at beneficial programs, and establishing/maintaining associations with other professionals, vendors and consultants.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises the Human Resources & Training team.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.

) from four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Organization Development or other HR related areas; and at least ten years related experience.
