Summary of Duties
Under/with the direction of the Director, Pilot Operational Support, the Manager/Director, Regulatory and Environmental Affairs will be the focal point for all FAA and WH Environmental considerations.
The position will act as a key coordination point between the FAA, DFJ Pilot Operational Support, DA DSOF, Training Providers, and other internal departments within both Dassault Aviation and Dassault Falcon Jet, for all matters related to regulatory and environmental considerations as they pertain to Falcon operations.
This position will address Falcon customer operational concerns and inquiries, as well as collect continued industry feedback to communicate to program management.
This position will also represent Dassault Aviation and lobby on behalf of the company in respective regulatory and environmental seminars, meetings, and discussions as well as contribute to the creation and maintenance of relevant Dassault communications, presentations, and documentation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Customer/Partner support
Provide timely and technically accurate answers to customer pilots, training instructors, SALES, and other internal departments as needed
Organize and develop presentations and briefings for Falcon customer seminars, dedicated virtual, or onsite regulatory/environmental ops briefings
Provide timely answers to training provider inquiries as they pertain to regulatory and environmental affairs
Coordinate efforts with respect to LOA application support
Maintain relationship with LOA support partners
Following of regulatory and environmental affairs
Identify and provide feedback on upcoming FAA mandates that may impact Falcon operations and future Falcon programs
Coordinate with respective Dassault Aviation program management
Coordinate with DFJ STC department on potential business development
Inform SALES of operational impact and promote respective Dassault solution/message
Ensure conformity to regulatory considerations by following initiatives from conception to implementation in service
Participate in seminars and meetings hosted by the FAA/regulatory authorities
Act as FAA regulatory liaison and expert for Dassault Aviation and Dassault Falcon Jet
Lobby on behalf of Dassault Aviation at industry stakeholder and regulatory meetings (i.
e FAA/GAMA)
Participate in seminars and meetings related to promotion of sustainable business aviation
Act as environmental affairs SME with respect to Falcon operations for DFJ and coordinate with DSOF
Other responsibilities may be assigned in order to meet departmental or business objectives as needed
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Ensure technical knowledge base (FAQs) associated with regulator/environmental considerations is maintained
Ensure training vendors are informed and up to speed on upcoming pertinent regulatory considerations
Develop and maintain LOA Assistance guides
Develop and maintain regulatory and environmental related FSAs
Review and/or draft Service Documentation related to regulatory or environmental operational support
