Business Manager for Payments & Commerce Solutions – Vice President
Payments & Commerce Solutions (P&CS) business combines J.
P.
Morgan Chase’s world-leading global payments and merchant acquiring franchises to provide integrated solutions for clients around the globe.
The Business Manager for the Global Head of Payments & Commerce Solutions will report into Senior Business Manager for Payments & Commerce Solutions.
This person will be responsible for various aspects of the business unit and its initiatives.
This role will be responsible for partnering and executing on key P&CS priorities.
The role requires excellent communication skills, flexibility and comfort with ambiguity.
The individual will manage in a rapid pace of change, be detail oriented & possess a strong ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels of the firm.
Key Responsibilities Act as chief of staff for Global Head of P&CS, interacting with senior leaders on the management team and across the Payments organization globally Key driver for high priority initiatives working across multiple stakeholders: Manage agenda for Business Reviews with the group head by acting as the central point of contact to ensure a consistent message and provide constructive feedback to the team when finalizing content Curate executive ready presentations, and prepare group head for various forums and events (offsites, business reviews, senior stakeholder meetings) Review and approve weekly agendas for Staff Meetings, Offsites and Strategy Sessions Participate in meetings to provide feedback on project status Review, inform and prepare materials for regulatory authorities Identify risk and escalate issues quickly and appropriately, helping to resolve with solution-focused mindset Build trust and rapport through all interactions to deliver the right outcomes for the business Interfacing with senior executives on the leadership team and build relationships across various stakeholders to enable the business to achieve its objectives and to ensure initiatives are executed as planned in a properly controlled manner Leverage cross-functional relationships and knowledge of the business to help influence to outcomes with short turnaround times across a variety of aspects from crafting business materials, leader updates and key communications across stakeholder groups Provides execution support for the business on key priorities and business activities with a quick turnaround for small and large projects Prepare executive reports, presentations, and communications for a variety of audiences and constituents including Senior Management, and Leadership, among other stakeholders.
Strong ability to “tell the story” Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing projects in a client-focused environment (payments or financial services experience a plus), including project management skills An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both verbally and written); ability to apply quantitative and strategic approaches and work well in cross-functional teams Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills (both written and verbal); ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources Strong judgement and ability to appropriately handle sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
Deliver thoughtfully and expeditiously, while always remaining calm Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint and executive presentation building skills Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize issues and analysis; strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, comfort juggling a dynamic and complex piece of work Demonstrated track record of a high level of initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating ability to work in unstructured, dynamic environment Self-motivated & a commitment to acquiring new knowledge and skills; seek to continuously improve standards of work, address opportunities for development ABOUT US JPMorgan Chase & Co.
