The Director of Engineering oversees the engineering department, its operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel facilities, equipment, and tools.
This involves overseeing and managing engineering staff, with a main focus on administrative and executive duties however ready work with the team on the set goals and achievements.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be incredibly friendly and customer-centric
* Supervising the maintenance team’s day-to-day operations
* Supervises and assists engineering staff in maintaining and repairing fire and life safety systems, room equipment, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, kitchen appliances, refrigeration equipment, pool equipment, lighting, laundry equipment and other systems/equipment as directed.
* Planning, scheduling, and prioritizing maintenance team operations
* Ensuring that guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service
* Ensuring that the function and appearance of all hotel facilities and amenities meet standards
* Assists in the preparation of reports on maintenance topics for management
* Coordinating responses to maintenance related inquires and issues
* Assists with documentation of accurate and adequate maintenance and safety records.
* Assists with supervising, training, and developing maintenance staff
* Performs skilled repair and maintenance operations using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, etc.
* Responds quickly to guest requests/complaints in a friendly manner.
Relays appropriate requests or complaints to appropriate subordinate or manager.
Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Completes training regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.
Conducts training of co-workers and subordinates as required.
* Meets with vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of work, and products and materials used in, repair activities.
* Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
* Reports lost and found articles and needed repairs of unsafe conditions to supervisor.
* Provides a professional image.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Able to Manage, project, and (master, create, perform) Processes.

* Hotel Maintenance: 5 years (Required)
* Supervisory: 3 years (Required)
* Bachelor's degree within the engineering field, business administration/ management
* FLSD certificate (S12/ S13/ F60/ Q01)
* Action-mindset
* Up-to-date knowledge of the industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.
