Job Summary:
The Director, Strategy for Shiseido Americas will support the design and execution of strategic initiatives that drive sustainable top-line and bottom-line performance improvement.
The role will report to the VP, Strategy, collaborating closely with the region’s Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Global Brand Leadership, Region Marketing & Sales leadership, and Corporate Functional leadership on the design and implementation of these strategic initiatives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with brand and business leaders to analyze and uncover current business challenges and associated growth and/or productivity improvement opportunities
Build the business case for, prioritize and design a roadmap a portfolio of strategic initiatives across the Region’s portfolio of brands and functions
Conduct analyses, develop recommendations and build project plans to support the execution of these strategic opportunities
Work with executive stakeholders across brands and corporate functions to plan for implementation of value creation projects, including defining the KPIs and related processes and ownership to track and report on results
Establish the project management and governance for implementation, working with executive stakeholders and initiative owners to mobilize resources across the organization
Project manage the execution of initiatives by monitoring progress, facilitating steering committee reviews, troubleshooting issues and roadblocks with functional leaders, and proactively escalating risks to project sponsors or the executive leadership team
The role may also be pulled into other aspects of the Region’s strategic priorities, including, but not limited to;
Supporting integrations of new businesses into the Region’s portfolio, in close collaboration with the Transformation team
Informing the annual strategic planning process for the Region, in close collaboration with the Strategic Finance team
Conducting best practices benchmarking (internal and external) to identify areas of improvement
Qualifications & Competencies:
6-8 years of total work experience with preferably 2-4 years post-MBA experience in ideally 1-2 years of experience as a project manager (or equivalent role)
Prior experience in consumer goods and/or retail, and a passion for beauty
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to self-direct complex data analyses and insight generation with little guidance
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and experience communicating with senior / C-suite level colleagues
Can-do attitude and bias to action with track record of executing fast-paced, demanding initiatives from ideation to finish
Extremely high ownership and independence, with ability to drive multiple projects along concurrently and independently
Project leadership experience and senior leadership exposure, with strong aptitude for influencing and driving change at senior levels of an organization
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
MBA from a leading business school preferred

Salary :
$119,925 - $179,887.
