Junior Maintenance Engineer
A manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals is in need of a Junior Maintenance Engineer to join their production team.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with production managers, engineering, and machine operators in the creation of troubleshooting guides, corrective maintenance guides, and preventive maintenance procedures.
Work collaboratively with the Production Manager and Director of Production to implement and sustain TPM system practices and culture.
Create training material and train operators and fabrication leadership on TPM systems and practices.
Participate in daily management meetings to report and track equipment reliability metrics like OEE, MTTF & MTBF.
Collaborate and support the change control process to update documentation that pertains to preventive maintenance.
Identify, initiate, lead & execute continuous improvement initiatives & projects for the department.
Collaborate with production managers, engineering, Director of Operations on the resolution, analysis, and investigation of equipment-related failures impacting quality and safety.
Initiate lead and support all safety initiatives throughout the department.
Support and lead designated Lean and Efficiency improvement projects in alignment with Departmental and Site Wide Goals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 1-year of experience in a Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, or Packaging environment.
Above-average reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
Excellent team player.
Intermediate in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit, and other safety equipment as needed.
Basic use of tools and equipment.
